Hosting and Security
Your personal data will only be used resolve technical issues, and will not be shared or sold in any way. We also use best practices and employ SSL technology to encrypt data during transmission through public internet to the best of our ability but make no warranties and upon acceptance of these (“Terms”) you understand that the technical processing and transmission of the Service, including Your Content, may at times, be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices and (c) transmission to (TFT/LFBP) third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to operate and maintain the Service
The Fish Tank uses Amazon Web Services (EC2 & S3) to securely manage user data. Amazon operates one of the largest and most secure data centers available and this (“Service”) is hosted at Amazon’s Canadian location. For more information on Amazon's security infrastructure, please visit http://aws.amazon.com/security. As an extra precaution, each user's project data is stored in a separate database for complete data isolation. Web connections to The Fish Tank are encrypted using a secure connection via TLS 1.1 and above. The (“Service”) is also backed up daily.
Analytics and Tracking
When you interact with us through our (“Service”) we receive and store certain additional non-personally identifiable information. For example, we automatically receive and record information including, but not limited to, your IP address, browser type and language, referring/exit pages and URL’s, other browser history, platform type, number of clicks, landing pages, cookie information, the pages you requested and viewed, the amount of time spent on particular pages, and the dates and time. We only use this data in aggregate form, that is, as a statistical measure, and not in a manner that would identify you personally. This type of aggregate data enables us to determine how often users use parts of our (“Service”) so that we can make our (“Service”) as useful to as many users as possible, and to improve our (“Service”) and the services it offers. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate information to our partners about how our users, collectively, use our (“Service”). We share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand how often people use their services and our (“Service”) so that they too may provide you with an optimal online experience.
When registering for The Fish Tank, you will have to provide full contact information on you, you staff and your company. This information is only used to complete your request, manage your account, to operate and make the (“Service”) available to you, for billing, identification and authentication. This information is also used for research purposes and to improve the content and functionality of the (“Service”).
Upon registering for the (“Service”), you agree to provide accurate registration information and agree to keep your records up to date in Your Account Settings of the (“Service”).
As a licensed user, you are you are responsible for cancelling your account or a staff member’s account if you are the administrator of the company account, at any time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We will disable your account within 48 hours and will be charged for the remainder of your fiscal month with The Fish Tank. Refunds will not be given for any reason. We hold your data for 12 months from the date of your cancelation at which time all of your data will be deleted.
You may receive newsletters/blogs and announcements from us. If you wish to opt out of these newsletters, please follow the unsubscribe directions in these emails. We hope that you do not unsubscribe, as you may receive helpful information on growing your business or managing your account. This unsubscribe however, does not eliminate our right to contact you for any challenges we are having with your account that requires your undivided attention.
Payment and Refunds
When you add a credit card payment to access the (“Service”) account, a third party, www.Stripe.com who handles payments for us, will receive your card information. To keep your financial data secure, we do not store full credit card information on our servers. See our full Terms & Conditions describing this at:
Once again, you credit card information will be processed with www.stripe.com on behalf of (TFT/LFBP), and you are advised to review their terms and policies.
Ownership of Content
In addition to Personal and Organizational Data, the (“Service”) owned by (TFT/LFBP) contains content that is relevant to your specific company. Content includes all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs and/or images, graphics, videos, messages, comments, tags, documents, links, or other materials housed within your Fish Tank account. You/company is/are the owner of all created content housed within The Fish Tank and your contacts may be exported vis a csv file.
As the administrator of your company, you have the right to add and delete members of your company according to your judgement.
Although (TFT/LFBP) owns the software, code, databases, and all rights to the (TFT/LFBP) (“Service”), you retain all rights to your data.
Access to Information
(TFT/LFBP), its employees and affiliates may access your content to allow us to fulfill your information and support needs and requests, and to provide requested consulting services and advice. However, (TFT/LFBP) may also transmit or share your personal information with its third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and other technology and services required to operate and maintain the Service, which may require that your personal information be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of the (“Service”) and the authorized third parties referred to here. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
Except as described in this policy, The Fish Tank (TFT/LFBP) will not give, sell, rent, share or loan any personal information to any third party.
Protection and The Law
We may release Personal and Company Data when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to enforce or apply our (“Terms”) and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our Company, our employees, our users, or others. This includes, without limitation, exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud monitoring, detection, and prevention.
We may release Personal and Company Data in response to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or a request for co-operation from a law enforcement or other government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. In such cases, we may raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us.

Our web site includes social media buttons such as the Facebook, Linked In and You Tube. Your interactions with these features are governed by the terms and policies of the company providing it.
